Meet the Trainers:

Denise Merdich, M.S.N., A.R.N.P., National Trainer

Denise Merdich, MSN, ARNP, is a certified national injectable trainer of Botox and dermal fillers. For the past 15 years she has focused her career in non-surgical aesthetics and has trained doctors across all fields in mainstream and advanced techniques for Botox and dermal filler treatments. Denise currently acts as a national clinical trainer for one of the most renowned dermal filler companies and was also an instructor for Allergan (maker of Botox & Juvederm) for 7 years.

A tremendous accomplishment, Denise's aesthetic techniques were recently published in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal, a peer reviewed publication that for more than 60 years has been recognized for its excellence and dedication in chronicling the present and laying the experimental and clinical foundations for future advances in aesthetics. A true leader in the industry and one of DentaSpa's leading trainers, Denise was specialized in dermal fillers years before they became mainstream.

Marianne Azneer, PA-C, National Injectable and Laser Trainer

Marianne Azneer, PA-C, National Injectable and Laser Trainer/Aesthetic Consultant is national injectable and laser trainer that has more than 20 years of experience in non-surgical procedures such as Botox and Dermal Fillers. Sought out by doctors across various fields, she travels across the country, training medical and dental practitioners on the latest advances in non-surgical cosmetic procedures. In addition to cosmetic Botox and dermal fillers, Marianne has certification and training in lasers, microdermabrasion; medical chemical peels; IPL, laser, radiofrequency, and fractional laser resurfacing; and sclerotherapy. She is also a National Laser Trainer and Aesthetic Consultant.

Natausha Spears, R.N., B.S., National Trainer

Natausha Spears, RN, BS is a national certified trainer that has successfully trained hundreds of practitioners to perform Botox and dermal filler treatments. She has been in the cosmetic industry for 12 years and is the owner of Injectable Aesthetics. Her practice is considered one of the largest practices for injectables in the state of Oklahoma. She has alone performed more than 10,000 Botox procedures during her career and has been an ACE certified speaker and trainer for Allergan (the maker of Botox) for the past 6 years. She also is a national educator and trainer to multi-specialty physicians, nurses, PAs, as well as dental practitioners in various specialties, educating in both beginning and advanced Botox and Dermal Filler techniques. She is one of DentaSpa's top trainers and teaches 12 times a year to groups of dental practitioners looking to incorporate facial aesthetics into their practice.

Natausha's experience is not only vast in non-surgical facial rejuvination procedures using botox and dermal fillers, but also in non-surgical laser procedures. Her desire to enter the field of aesthetics came when she was an office manager at a dental practice that offered aesthetic procedures. After graduating from nursing school she trained under the leading practitioners in the world of aesthetics. Natausha did her injection training in Canada, under leading Canadian Botox injectors, Dr. Braun and Dr. Bailey. She also trained extensively with California renowned plastic surgeon, Steven Mulholland, MD. However, Natausha attributes most of her success and knowledge in the field of injections, to have come from years of working for multi-specialty physicians, of whom she has picked up several "tricks of the trade" throughout the years. She believes experience is invaluable, and it is what has allowed her to truly become an artist when it comes to injections.

 

Susan Braun DMD.UBC.1986

Susan Braun (DMD.UBC.1986) has successfully performed dermal filler treatments on more than 8,000 patients. She graduated from UBC in the Faculty of Dentistry in 1986. For 10 years she built her solo dental practice. She is a founder and co-owner of Vancouver Laser & Skin Care Center.

With a background of broad experience and unique injection expertise, Dr.Braun continues to be one of the most sought out trainers for doctors who are interested in learning about Botox® and dermal fillers.

Martin Braun MD.UBC.1984

Martin Braun (MD.UBC.1984) is one of the most accomplished and respected cosmetic rejuvenation physicians who currently injects more Botox® than any other single practitioner in Canada! Celebrated for his humorous lectures and manner, Dr. Braun is a featured guest on many radio and television stations. He is a highly sought-after speaker for many medical conferences and seminars. His workshops involve the extensive hands-on training needed to successfully incorporate Botox® treatments into your practice.

Michele Chartier, D.D.S., P.C., National Trainer

Michele Chartier believes that Botox and dermal fillers have a perfect place in dentistry. Determined to master the art of facial aesthetics, Dr. Chartier took numerous courses that led her to later teach other dental practitioners the art and science of Botox and dermal fillers. After being exposed to both dental and non-dental courses on the subject, she quickly realized how natural these aesthetic and therapeutic treatments are to dental practitioners. Today she finds these procedures allow her to provide patients a more comprehensive treatment, truly enhancing the final result of many cases. Born in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Chartier graduated top of her class from the University of Southern California in 1995. A lecturer since 2007, serves as a peer reviewer for the Georgia Board of dentistry and has been voted America's Top Dentist since 2006.

Ricardo M. Perez, D.D.S.

Ricardo M Perez, DDS, founder of Cosmetic Dental Spa, is a graduate of UCLA and the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. As co-founder of the first network of dental spa, he has been an innovator in the field of dental and spa services since 2000. He opened his first practice in 1994 and founded that practice as the Cosmetic Dental Spa in 2000.

He is one of less than 5% of dentists who have completed hands on training in cosmetics and occlusion. These courses include Functional Anterior Esthetics, Ultimate Occlusion, Occlussion II, and Full Mouth Synergy. Dr. Perez is certified to do Botox and Fillers and currently offers patients many restorative and therapeutic Botox treatments, allowing him to offer the most comprehensive aesthetic dental treatments.

Dr Perez lectures on cosmetics and dental spas. He also lectures for Novalar on the uses of Oraverse. Dr Perez is a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, DOCS, International Congress of Osseo Integration, and a founding member of the Medical Spa Association.

Corinn Ziegler, PA-C

Corinn Ziegler, PA-C, is a clinical proctor for DentaSpa Seminars who has helped many dental practitioners seamlessly integrate Botox and dermal fillers into their practices. She earned her Bachelor's at the University of North Carolina, and graduated from the Physician Assistant Program at Barry University in Miami, Florida in 2002 with a Master's in Medical Science. She entered the cosmetic industry in 2005 working with lasers, and made the natural transition to full-time facial aesthetics and injectables in 2008.

Corinn understands that Botox and filler treatments are a combination of skill, art and science. She is an expert injector and a national trainer of Botulinum toxin A and Dermal fillers for physicians, physician extenders and dental practitioners. Corinn also operates a med spa in Tampa, Florida. She is known as a perfectionist for her attention to detail and meticulous nature. Her artistry of Aesthetics comes from both experience and an innate sense of observation and symmetry. She has a gift for determining the best treatments needed to help clientele achieve their desired outcome. Patients praise her for her gentle touch, which is an extension of her compassion and empathy.

Arun K. Garg, Clinical Consultant

DentaSpa Seminars Clinical Consultant Dr. Arun K. Garg, is an acclaimed clinician and international educator, known as “Expert to the Experts.” He hosts more than 200 seminars annually, attended by more than 10,000 Dentists, Periodontists and Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeons per year for Implant Dentistry.

With the growing popularity of injectibles and spa business in dentistry, Dr. Garg is proud to have the most renowned experts in this realm assist dental practitioners incorporate Botox®, dermal fillers and spa business into their practices.

Dr. Garg completed his engineering and his dental degree at the University of Florida and subsequently completed his residency training at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He served as a full-time Professor of Surgery in the Division of Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine, and also served as Director of the Residency Training Program for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Garg is known for providing valuable and quality continuing education. Courses are always at excellent settings, by leading clinicians, and all at incredible values.

Aaron Buckner, Web and Marketing Director

Aaron Buckner brings 15 years of experience in web design, development and marketing to DentaSpa and its members. Buckner and his team of experts have helped countless of clients take their web design and overall branding to a whole new level.

As president of Cicada Dynamic Systems, a web agency formed in 1999, Aaron works with clients such as Fortune 25 ranked Proctor & Gamble, Manhattan real estate agency Warburg and aerospace manufacturer CFM. Aaron was instrumental in developing projects from the ground up including startup pet pharmacy Prescriptions as well as redeveloping and rebranding the original consumer portal Planet Feedback. He is proud to now be serving the healthcare and dental community alongside with DentaSpa seminars.

Jessica Weale, Communications Director

Jessica Weale plays an integral role at DentaSpa Seminars, helping the organizational flow of all seminars, which result in seamless and pleasant experiences for DentaSpa students. Jessica has an incredible eye for detail and helps with the overall production of each DentaSpa event. Jessica goes above and beyond, making sure DentaSpa students are well informed of not just seminar details but of any recreational activities for students visiting from abroad.

Jessica graduated in the dean’s list from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a concentration in Marketing. Prior to DentaSpa, she worked at Novo Nordisk helping the top 30% of endocrinologists in the US acquire insulin. She also helped build communication and marketing campaigns for companies such SmartMark Communications, Amherst Leisure Services and Merrill Lynch

Jason Vernau, Entertainment/Catering Director

Jason Vernau is the entertainment/catering director for DentaSpa Seminars. Jason has been a chef for 12 years, serving prestigious brands such as The Westin, The Bohemian and The Provence. He currently is a private chef for a very exclusive clientele who reside or visit Miami. DentaSpa is proud to see many practitioners attend our courses from across the globe. It is important to us that the trip is an enjoyable as possible here in Miami! For that reason, Vernau, owner of Vergado Entertainment (VIP concierge services), is here to help guide your Miami experience from accommodations to reservations, you name it.

Ana Natalie Delgado, Program Director

Ana Natalie Delgado has been organizing seminars on Botox® and dermal fillers for dental practitioners since 2006. Ana has a passion for facial aesthetics and believes dentists are the most qualified practitioners to give Botox® and filler injections. This is due to their extensive training in muscular and skeletal facial functions, intra-oral injections and their ability to deliver painless injections. Delgado has worked with hundreds of dentists, helping them incorporate this billion-dollar industry into their practices through education, marketing, research and consultation.

Ana graduated from the University Of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Communications and a concentration in Business. Prior to joining DentaSpa, Ana helped build and execute marketing programs for many clients in various niches such as Shands Healthcare, Adidas, MasterCard, Florida Prepaid Program, Cancun Convention Visitors Bureau among others.

Tikia Dixon, Spa Consultant

Tikia Dixon is DentaSpa’s in-house Spa Consultant whose leading role is to help dental practitioners incorporate profitable and comforting dental spa treatments. With 14 years in the spa industry, she can helps customize not only the patient experience, but also find the best fit in terms of staffing, human resources, selection of products/service and many other steps for successful implementation. Incorporating her firsthand knowledge and familiarity of all things spa, along with her passion for skin health, Tikia illustrates how, with only one room, a dental practice can be transformed into a more lucrative venture. From retailing to merchandising and even transcending into the treatment room, she has a hand in tailoring your practice to seamlessly incorporate appropriate spa elements. She is trusted to handle the multitude of tasks involved in taking your ideal from a vision to an operationally sound and profitable reality. She has traveled nationally and abroad as a brand representative for many of today's prestigious skin care lines, training estheticians, massage therapists, salespeople and retail clients alike. She has been instrumental in spa building, expanding brand presence and helping newly developed skin care lines to gain international exposure.

Tikia studied Marketing at Howard University and is a recent transplant to the Miami area. Since 1997 Tikia has played an active role in the aesthetics and personal care industry. A member of the International Spa Association and Certified Spa Supervisor, Tikia has spent years representing skin care brands as well as running her own mobile spa business. She also holds Esthetician licensure in multiple states. Tikia has mentored and assisted in various spa openings, creating signature treatments, numerous spa menus and training manuals. Her most recent venture being The Palms Spa, an Aveda concept spa and salon in Miami's prestigious South Beach.

Dawn Buck, Spa Consultant

Dawn Aquila Buck brings more than 13 years experience in the spa industry to DentaSpa Seminars. Dental spas are a growing trend in dentistry, not just because of their profitability, but also because of patient demand for comprehensive treatment. Dawn enjoys and is proud to help dental practitioners incorporate spa concepts successfully into their practices.

Dawn has served as Spa Director at the most prestigious Fisher Island Club, located off of South Beach Miami, Florida. She was responsible for the entire 22,000 sq. ft. facility to include a 13-room spa, 3 pools, a state of the art fitness center, Pilates studio, and a full service salon. Prior to her employment at Fisher Island she was the Spa Director for The Don Cesar Beach Resort in st. Petersburg, FL. During her time at both of these elite facilities Dawn was highly involved in the renovations and consultations of the Spa, fitness and salon areas. She has created and developed new spa menu’s and services to accommodate exclusive clientele. Dawn holds a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Physiology and graduated from Florida Atlantic University. She has since completed several certifications across her field such as: ACSM, ACE, AFAA. Dawn has been a member of the American Spa Association since 2006.  Dawn was featured in an article for Conde Nast and she was asked for her opinion on the book AquaBliss.
